Espacio La Granja

From October 11 h to 14 h.

From 16 to 20 hours.

This workshop is intended for people who already have theatrical experience, either students, amateurs or professionals.

We don’t act like clowns, we are clowns.

If we search for our inner clown we are actually recovering our most simple sensations, such as those from our childhood.

The trick is to master these sensations and to be able to exaggerate them enough to make them comical.

After performing for 36 (thirty-six) years, Les Founambules are an indisputable reference of the European contemporary clown. Their impressive comedy combined with a precise gestural technique and their great imaginative capacity, makes them authentic masters of clown arts.

Basic work:

Working with neutrality, not saying anything, just listening to our feelings, our attitudes and our movements.

Body work

Dissolving movements, rhythm, attitudes, expression. Mime techniques.

Tickets: Live individual appearances.

Ping Pong: Improvisation technique involving two or more people, regarding the principle of giving and receiving.

Saturday October 16th 11: 30-12: 45

Saturday October 16th 18: 00-19: 30

(Max. 15 participants per pass)

Attendants must bring, elements like wigs, hats, glasses etc...

Sigrid Ojel has designed a workshop in which sharing time and space with those whom we love most will be more fun than ever.  An intergenerational exchange with the little ones, full of laughter, complicity, creativity...where the grandfather, parakeet, mother, great-grandmother or father will not only learn about clown arts by the means of choreography, sketches, and impossible languages but they will actually become a real “Clan-Clown”.
The family workshop will develop different choreographies, one per family, using delimited spaces for each family and regarding the festival’s protocol.  Creativity will be cultivated with different elements in which music and the body will be the protagonists.  Using hats, wigs, glasses, etc., participants will be able to characterize themselves as different characters, playing with each other, encouraging fun and triggering imagination.

During the hour and a half that the activity lasts, each family will prepare, using the guidelines that Sigrid Ojel gives them, sketches similar to a television contest with the aim of bringing out the most comical part of the group, achieving teamwork with laughter and invented languages.  A fun family day, leaving aside daily routines and trying to awaken the clown's smile and unquestionable ability to remind us how to have fun with the little ones.

She’s an actress and clown, a graduate of Dramatic Arts.  She has worked for eight years as a clown in a hospital and is also founder and director of the Asociacion De Narices.

As an actress she has participated in films and plays of several companies, among them Clownbaret, which she has been part of since 2010, as the leading actress in most of their shows.

This idea arises from love and respect for the circus world as well as having faith in the idea of creating societies and better people, based on discipline and fun, using our bodies, psychological work and relying on the foundations of knowledge and humanity as the fundamental engine of the project.

It’s social and recreational nature, attracts all kinds of people and families who intend to enjoy a different type of experience, as well as, trying to reinforce the idea, as much as in childhood as in adulthood, that there are alternatives that were considered more distant than what they really are, creating an atmosphere of surprising illusion for adults and for children, invigorating social bonding and individual improvement, where physical and psychological boundaries are established naturally, as a result of the infinite diversity of people.

Introducing physical and cognitive activity by the means of the circus as a healthy way for fun, learning and unity, as individuals and as a group, investigating and discovering new utensils and activities to enjoy during leisure and free time.

Yiyo Ramirez is a professional of the Performing Arts and Bachelor of Dramatic Art.  Clown artist and creator of the shows “Yiyolo Stratto” and “Stronger”, with more than six years experience at a national level.

During the past years he has also teach circus techniques, at “Vertice. Espacio para el movimiento.”, "Abubukaka school" & climbing at Parque de la Vega, amongst other workshops.
